Branding & GFX Marketing at CODE University

2020-2021

CODE is a state-recognised university of applied sciences found in Berlin. It is a university which completely shifts the paradigm on what it means to learn at an educational institution and revolutionises a new way of learning.

Branding

My team and I set out to redefine what it means to be a university online. From every touch point, a persistent brand would live throughout. We assigned individual colours to every department and created a unifying identity behind which CODE University could stand. With a consistent look and feel, CODE could move forward knowing all of it’s marketing was uniform and streamlined.

Apart from help create the branding, I worked on the various implementations of it and created a plethora of different graphics and designs CODE could display and advertise with. By communicating with various stakeholders and brining different teams on an aligned vision, it allowed me to demonstrate my strong communication and presentation skills.

Marketing

The marketing side of design at CODE taught me the various ways to hold my initial designs to fit various sizes and compositions. It allowed me to express various visual narratives which would hook our core audiences and spark engagement. Collaborating closely with marketing teams, I played a pivotal role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing successful social media campaigns. From developing campaign visuals that communicate key messages effectively to optimizing content for different platforms and audiences, I ensure that each campaign achieves its objectives and delivers measurable results.

Editorial Design

Through my time at CODE, I worked on 2 key pieces of editorial design. They were booklets for the university for onboarding students and an introductory booklet for newcomers. It was important to me to bring the universities stories to life while always maintaining the brand image I helped develop. With a focus on thoughtful and visually engaging pages, I was able to convey the needed information.
